  Barcelona Hotels
  Barcelona Hotels Scene

Barcelona offers a wide selection of hotels, choosing the right one for you will depend on which area you want be in and what budget you want to spend. However, be aware that during the summer months almost all the hotels in the city will be fully booked. To avoid disappointment make sure you book earlier in the year. If you do have to find a hotel at the last minute, the best time to search is around 11am, this is the time when guests are required to vacate their rooms.

Hostels in Barcelona are usually family owned and can offer both private rooms and shared accommodation. The shared rooms or dormitories aren't much cheaper than the private rooms, except in the peak season, when prices tend to rise. Most of these places don't take reservations during this time as they know they're going to be fully booked.

A lot of people who own apartments in Barcelona rent them out during the summer as short term holiday lets. They usually cost the same as a 2-3 star hotel and will come fully equipped with self catering services.
