  Barcelona Restaurants
  Barcelona Restaurant Scene

Barcelona offers a wide variety of restaurants specialising in all types of different cuisine. During the day many restaurants offer a three course set menu, menu del dia, for between seven and fifteen euros. Not usually the finest food on offer, but it's still excellent value. At a good restaurant you should expect to pay between eighteen and thirty euros for a good meal.

Being in the Catalan capital it seems only right that you should try the local cuisine. The best examples you're likely to find can be found along Diagonal and the Ramblas, although these tend to be quite pricey. For something a little more affordable you need to veer off the beaten track. There are lots of affordable Catalan restaurants along the side streets of the gothic quarter.

In Barcelona Basque cuisine is extremely popular, available in a lot of bars, it mainly consists of a number of different Tapas dishes impaled on cocktail sticks. When you've finished you pay for how many cocktail sticks are left on your plate.

If you're looking for something with a more Oriental appeal then head for the Gracia district. This place is full of Thai, Chinese, Lebonese and Indian restaurants.
